MDY starts another development for Channor, this time in Edenderry......

In the closing days of the last century and  the early years of this century, MDY Construction completed several projects for Aidan Harrison's Channor / Lanmeur in Blanchardstown Corporate Park in Dublin. The buildings were, for the most part, multi-storey modern office buildings but also included a 16,000m2 CDC for Superquinn.  The company was therefore very pleased to have won this current contract with Channor for the first buildings in the Edenderry Business Campus.

Block 6, the first to be built, is a 2500m2 steel frame structure with Kingspan MR cladding and aluminium glazing externally and standard masonry walls  internally, subdividing the building into 16 individual units.  All of the units have a separate office enclosure topped with precast flooring panels, while some of the larger units are fitted out with stairs to upper floor areas.  The site works include extensive cut & fill operations, retaining walls, drainage, services, and road finishes.

Aidan Butler of Lorcan Green & Associates is the architect, Doherty Finnegan Kelly are the engineers, and Malone Engineering are the PSDP for the project.  The MDY management team includes Denis Lahart (Contracts Manager), Alan Brereton (Site Manager), and Oliver Fallon (QS).

Block 6 is due for completion in November 2008.
