The official opening of the extension to Scoil Na Mainistreach, Celbridge, which was built by MDY Construction, took place today.
The Minister for Education and Science, Mary Hanafin, officially opened the extension to the existing school which caters for primary level students. The event was attended by Tom Stokes, Board of Management, Raymond King, School Principal, Martin Noone, Architect for the project, Maurice Brennan, Andrew Nugent & Associates, Pat Cosgrove, Managing Director of MDY Construction.
The project consisted of eight additional classrooms, three remedial rooms, administration offices, library and computer rooms, refurbishment of the existing sixteen classrooms and common areas, extensive siteworks, including a new entrance and car parking.
The school opened as scheduled on 1st September, ready for the commencement of the school year.
