Description:
A new 2000 PE Municipal Waster Water Treatment Plant was designed, procured, built, fully fitted and commissioned to serve the existing town and new housing developments.  It involved liasing with the Department of the Enviornment, Kildare County Council Water Services, landowners, and other developers.  The process technology was Membrane Bio Reactor provided by a UK subsidary of Bord na Móna and was one of the first of its kind in Ireland.  The works included land acquisition, 1.5km of gravity foul line along a public road, the plant included process mechanical and electrical installation, and 1.1km of discharge line to a river outfall.
